- Shotokan Karate as
practiced and taught at CKA is Non-Contact. Therefore, no pads, gloves,
headgear, or other protective equipment are required.
- Classes are open to all levels including children over 10 years old.
Wednesdays and Fridays : 6:00pm-7:00pm
- Private Lessons and training sessions are also available on request.
- Tuition and Dress code:Anyone aged 10 years and older is welcome to come to the dojo to observe. To join, tuition Fees are $80 per month, but new students can train for a one
week trial period free of charge. Acceptable clothing for beginners are
grey/blue sweatpants, grey/blue/white sweatshirts or t-shirts. A
traditional Karate uniform (gi) is not required until a student reaches
their first grading period.
- Beginners are
designated "white belts". The Shotokan Rankings and Grading requirements are shown below.
