The Connecticut Karate Association was founded by Sensei Fred Serricchio in Stamford, CT more than thirty years ago as the Fairfield County affiliate of the Japan Karate Association (JKA), under the auspices of Sensei Mori of New York City.

In recent years, the Shotokan club has moved from the JKA to become a founding member of the new international Shotokan organization, the World Traditional Karate Organization (WTKO). Retaining its high standard of excellence, the Connecticut Karate Association is now affiliated with a new and exciting group of dedicated international Shotokan clubs, offering its students opportunities to attend seminars and tournaments world-wide. These relationships offer our students the opportunity to compete on an international level, as well as access to seminars and classes from world renown instructors.

Classes at the Stamford dojo are offered to karateka of all levels, as well as beginning students and children over 10 years old.
